A converted old sandstone barn on the north west edge of West Milton, an unspoilt country village nestling in West Dorset's legendary picturesque AONB 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' 15 minutes drive to the Jurassic Coast beach at West Bay (Bridport harbour), home of the 'Broadchurch' TV series.

Spikhatch Barn is a beautiful secluded holiday home on the north west corner of West Milton, a sleepy-quiet village in the West Dorset 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' (AONB) just 3,5 miles north east of the vibrant inland coastal market town of Bridport.

Spread across two floors, this barn conversion is a combination of rural charm and neat new modern interiors ideal for self-catering. It's the perfect place for a family holiday near the sea, for those wanting a private quiet getaway in the country, or as a base to explore the famous nearby 'South West Coastal Path' and 'Jurassic Coast'.

You'll find spacious open-plan living on the ground floor, with a cosy wood burning stove and long sofa for 4 plus rocking chair and 2 arm chairs. Satellite tv in the living-room + internet/wifi cater for those wishing to remain connected to the outside world.

The fully equipped kitchen includes electric hob & oven, toaster, mixer/blender, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine .... plus breakfast bar with 8 bar-stools for eating/drinking or just letting the conversation flow whilst cooking.

The south-facing conservatory, with dining table for 6, looks out onto a spacious lawn and patio, with options to eat in or outdoors, depending on the weather. You'll be spoilt for choice, whichever option you choose, by the scenic view of the rolling hills and the chance to chill out and relax in a peaceful quiet rural haven.

Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, each with one double-bed and twin bunk beds, sleeping up to 4 in each room, perfect for keeping an eye on younger children. And each bedroom has its own adjacent wc, wash-basin, and bath/shower.

On the north side of the barn is an enclosed private parking area, with ample parking space for visitor vehicles.

At the west end of the building is a small self-contained storage/office unit sometimes used by the managers.

"Thank you so much for making the house so cosy and welcoming. All the festive decorations, the lovely snow flake cushions, sheepskins, and of course the Christmas tree, really made our Christmas here very special. We had a wonderful few days here, even though it rained quite a bit. It is lovely to just sit in the conservatory and enjoy the beautiful view. The whole house was well equipped with everything we needed, and there were 10 of us! We enjoyed some lovely local walks and trips to the sea. We are very glad we got to spend Christmas here. It was to us one of the best Christmas holidays ever. This was our 2nd time here and we will come again."
